Ingredients:
- Fresh drumstick leaves (Munagaku) – 2 cups, thoroughly washed and dried
- Toor dal (Split pigeon peas) – 2 tablespoons
- Chana dal (Split chickpeas) – 2 tablespoons
- Urad dal (Split black gram) – 2 tablespoons
- Dried red chilies – 6-8 (adjust for spice level)
- Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
- Garlic cloves – 2-3 (optional, for depth of flavor)
- Salt – to taste
- Asafoetida (Hing) – a pinch (for an umami boost)
- Oil – 1 teaspoon (for roasting the leaves)
